Deactivating your Facebook account may seem like a radical move but at the end of the day, it’s really not.
Chances are, 10-15 years ago you didn’t have an account anyway. Now, having an account is taken for granted.
Social media can be a great way to connect with people across great distances. But it can also give us a false sense of connection. We may think we have hundreds of “friends” but those friendships don’t go very deep. Relationships require time and we just can’t give our time to that many people.
That’s not to say you have to deactivate your Facebook account or delete your Instagram account. It’s simply to say that you should determine how your time on those platforms impact your relationships.
