Resting Well

Our culture has a problem with rest. We hardly do it and when we do, we usually entertain ourselves with mindless amusement.

Digital wellbeing involves resting well. We need to live in recharging rhythms that lead to greater productivity and wellbeing in our work and the rest of our lives.

One step towards resting well is understanding what true rest looks like for you. Depending on what you spend your time doing, rest may look different. For someone who does a lot of physical work, rest may be less physically demanding. On the other hand, for those whose work is more mental, a physical activity may actually be more restful.

Even in the busyness of life you can find time to rest. If it’s just one minute a day, habits of rest are important to build.
